Purchasing SQLCE Database Viewer or PocketPC Installer for someone else

This is another common question, particularly for software resellers.

If you have a customer who wants to buy one of our products, can you buy it on their behalf ?
The simple answer is Yes !

Each license that you buy gives you the ability to create one License Key. However, a License Key is generated from a Computer Identifier code, and these are created uniquely on a user's PC when our software is run on it. So, to create a license for one of your customers, you need your customer to tell you their Computer Identifier code, and you can then log into our website to create a License Key for them.

Let's look at how this is done.

1. First purchase the license(s) that your customer needs. You will need to register with our website in order to do this.

2. Ask your customer to run our software, click on About\Register (in SQLCE Database Viewer) or Options\Register (in PocketPC Installer).

3. On the Register screen, they need to cut'n'paste the Computer Identifier code into an email, and send it to you.

4 . Once you have received this Computer Identifier code, you need to log into our website, and click on the "My Licenses" link.

5. On the "My Licenses" screen, click on one of your unused License Keys, and Paste your customer's Computer Identifier code into the "Your Computer's Identifier:" box.

6. Now click on the "Create License Key" button.

7. Our website will now generate a License Key for this Computer Identifier code. Simply copy this License Key into an email, and send it to your customer.

8. Your customer can then cut'n'paste this License Key into their Register screen, and start using the full version of our software.

Alternatively, you can register with our website using your customer's details, purchase the required license keys, then give your customer the UserID and Password that you've registered with, and tell them to log into our website, and click on the "My Licenses" link.
