Licenses Explained
When you purchase one license of PocketPC Installer, this
allows you to run the full version of PocketPC Installer on one
computer, and you can use it to create all the Desktop and PDA installer
files that you like.
Many users get confused
by this statement - they are expecting to be charged for one license for
each PDA that they'll be deploying to.
However, when you
think about it, our licensing is perfectly normal.
If you were buying
a piece of imaging software to create and edit bitmap images, you wouldn't
be expecting to pay for each .jpg image file that you create and send
to other users. Heck, no !
You would expect to buy one copy of the imaging software, and
for that software to
let you create all the bitmap images you'd want to, which you could then
send out to as many people as you wanted.
However, if one of
your work colleagues also wanted to create bitmap images, then,
yes, at this point, you would need to buy a second copy of the
imaging software.
So, a recap:
If you're intending to run PocketPC Installer on one computer,
and will be shipping out it's installer files to 10,000 PDAs, then you
need to purchase a grand total of one license.
