Thank you for all of your feedback about our new Beta version of PocketPC Installer Professional.
We have had some very positive feedback and suggestions - do, please, keep them coming in.

We have also released a minor change to our PocketPC Installer application. Previously, you could specify the name of an .exe file, to run at the end of an installation.

Now, you can type in the name of a Start Menu or Programs screen shortcut. For example, you could type in "Calendar" (without the quotes) to open the Calendar application at the end of doing your install.

This is particularly useful if you have a .cab file containing your .exe application, but your users may choose to install the .cab onto a Storage Card. Sure, you can get your .cab file to add a Shortcut which will always point to your .exe's location, but what path+filename would you ask PocketPC Installer to run at the end of installation ?

Well, now, it's simple. Just type in the title of your Shortcut (eg "Calendar", "Inbox", "Share Tracker", etc) and your PocketPC Installer will search for a Shortcut with this name, and run that shortcut.
