A fantastic new Desktop Installer Wizard-style program (or you can continue to use the single-screen Desktop Installer application if you prefer).

New intelligence in the Desktop Installer: when it connects to your device it will now examine which .cab files are already installed on it. If one of your .cab files is already installed on the device, the Desktop Installer won't copy that .cab file's data to the device.
This greatly speeds up deployment, particularly when a device already has your version of the .Net Compact Framework .cab file installed on their device.

However, this behaviour is completely overridable - you can choose to always install a .cab.

Similarly, the Desktop Installer will now only the .cab/data files relevant to the type of device which is connected. So, if a Smartphone 5 device is connected to your PC, then it will just copy your files that you have said are relevant for "SP5" devices.

Rather than creating a large PDA installer file for your device, you can now choose to have a separate installer application and data file. This speeds up loading, and takes up less memory on your device, as some devices will make an extra copy of your installer file in Main Memory.

You can now highlight several files in the drag'n'drop list, and change a value for all of them in one go.
